I have been enjoying my last law school break with my family and the team and I haven't had a chance to post in a while, so I wanted to bring those interested up to date.)

We are playing like a team with their core group being underclassmen (at the high school level). We play up to our level of competition and are always up and down. Here are some of the notable high points.

- We lost to a tough post graduate Hargrave Military Academy with several high major kids 94-91. When we play post grad we play a college style game. 2 halves, 40 minutes, and a shot clock if it is available. We played them tough the entire game but we ran out of steam at the end. Jakub Mijakpwski went off for 30 and really made a impression on some major D1 schools in attendance.
-This past weekend we only play 1 good half of basketball. We lost by 1 to Cape Henry (#8 team in the country that beat Wesleyan Christian Academy by 9 (another top 10 team)) We fought hard and played well to come back the second half of the game and had a chance to win it. However, Atencia missed handled the ball driving to the rim for the game winning layup. Can't fault him though because he was a beast all weekend. He outplayed D1 signees and put himself on the map as the "Best Available PG in Virginia."
Some notable players for you all.
Harold Baruti 6'6 SG Jr. - Harold is the definition of a high motor, high intensity, and high emotion player. He is a monster on the defensive end (blocking several dunk attempts in transition) and attacking the rim while knocking down shots. This kid is going to be special. My plan is to put him through extensive ball handling drills as soon as season is over and also having him travel to my hometown to work with not only me but also my brother (amazing ball handler and PG) and the other high basketball IQ people in my area. Harold's handles have gotten much better, but he still has a way to go. This kid is a WARRIOR! Here is a couple recruiting services scouting reports. (PLEASE CHECK OUT THE LINK. I really appreciate the scouting reports these different recruiting services do and because our kids do not play AAU, we rarely get them. Please let them know that their efforts helping our kids will get their sites traffic!)

Jakub "Kuba" Mijakowski 6'7 SG/SF Jr. - This kid is a flat out shooter. The last time I checked his stats he was 47-100 from the 3 point line. Think about that a second. HE IS ALMOST 50% from the 3 AT THIS LEVEL OF COMPETITION. He has a high motor and high IQ on and off the court. This kid is Ivy league smart in the classroom. The scariest part is he should be a sophomore this year.

Maciej Bender 6'10 SF/PF Jr. - If "Magic" (How I pronounce his name with my southern WV accent. lol) ever realizes how good he can be, he will make a living playing basketball. This kids is so skilled. He can handle it, shoot it, is agile and athletic. His biggest problem is his confidence and his motor. I have watched this kid do things that few 6'10 kids can do. He just doesn't seem to do it every game. He will go out and have 25 one game and then shoot 3 shots the next. He will cross up and power dunk on a high major kid one game, then try to use a soft finger roll on a D3 kid. Whenever that light switch goes ON and stays ON, he will be really good.

Hansel Atencia 5'10 PG Sr. - Hansel has started to catch a lot of eyes. This weekend he outplayed committed D1 players. He was the best PG in a showcase that had one of the top Post grad prep schools and 2 other top 10 teams in the country. He only has an offer from Pikeville (top 5 NAIA), but I think that will change soon. He is everything you want in a PG and if he was 6'0+ he would pick his school, if he was 6'3 he would a lottery pick in a couple years. lol

Jethro Tshisumpa Mbiya 6'9 260 PF/C Jr. - Jethro has shown glimpses of being a dominant post player especially on the defensive end. His limit basketball experience has really hurt him and it has created a huge learning curve. To make this problem worse, he didn't get the GPA to qualify for 2nd semester. Although we have already played a seasons worth of games compared to other schools, he still needed the second half of this season. Mountain Mission is a very prestigious school academically (over 90% go onto college with the majority having scholarships) and they will not bend the rules for athletes. They set a high bar and all kids have to reach it.

I have been working on some highlights. I will finish them today and post them in this thread. Please click on the links and check out the scouting reports. I am just thankful that our kids are finally getting to play in front of recruiting services and I want to generate them some traffic. It would help them and most importantly our kids out a lot.
