Who, if any, or perhaps all(?) do we get back for the CSU game? I know we lost 2 of our veteran Offensive Lineman early in the season, necessitating Ulmer & other RS Frosh to play a majority of the snaps this season. Will Sandley & the other starter be available, or is MU going to try for injury hardship extensions for these 2? & of course: Do we get Brady & Williams back? To me, this was one of the most significant setbacks to the 2017 season, and if any of you "in the know" fans can post updates to these, would surely appreciate it!
Go HERD! "Mount the Rams?" (on the wall) ....not sure why these thoughts keep popping into my head.....;D)

We will be starting 3 RS-FR on the OL and I would expect Brady and Williams back as well.

pd - Thanks so much! So, what is the prospect of the 2 upperclassmen getting another year?
I'm not sure. They aren't actually injured right now as we just decided to go with the young guys because they were holding their own and that would prepare them more for next season when they would definitely be the guys.

Hopefully we can get as many guys as we can to help out... I don’t think Colorado is greatly better then us defensively but I do know we struggle with 1) road games 2) different time zones 3) winning 4) game management 5) offensive play callIing 6) not getting rid of bad coaches 7) getting prepared to play ....

Hopefully they figure it out this game... GO HERD!!

1-2 Are fan problems.
3-7 Are coaching problems.

Get arid of the coach and 3-7 are solved. Fans will always complain so....

AJ Addison has been ready to play for several games now. Sandley Jean-Felix was game-ready for the last two. Coach Mirabal obviously believes that the current lineup is our best. Also, there is no possibility that either of theses linemen will be back for another year.

Are you saying Addison & Jean-Felix are leaving Huntington?

Well, yes, I guess. AJ is a senior. He played as a true freshman and has been available for all four years. Sandley is a redshirt senior, who has also already played his four seasons. Both athletes have used all of their eligibility. I don't know if either of them have plans to remain in Huntington after this season, but I do know they will no longer be eligible to play college football.

Thanks...hopefully they will remain for graduate school. I think for a time Marshall helped ($$$) football graduates go to Grad School at Marshall. Not sure if this is still the procedure?

After their eligibility is over, the school cannot continue to pay for an athlete's education. Now, it is possible to "hire" the athlete as a GA in some form and then let him complete his degree under that program. For example, my son has already started his Master's in Exercise Science, and should be just one semester shy of completing it by the time he finishes up his playing time next December. It would be great if Marshall found a way to get him in as a GA, especially because he is planning on two years of Physical Therapy School after that. But you never know how things will work out. There are no guarantees.

Is that all? Lol!

Zilla, don't know if you have gotten the word down where you are, but the latest is that Marshall's Athletic Dept., and the University in general, doesn't have a lot of spare $$$$$ laying around for any NEW initiatives like helping ex players pay for graduate school! Can barely make ends meet now for the current and existing programs, sports, etc.!!

Lol well We all know there is more, but I can’t say them till you pay more money to the football program..... so let me know when you have paid up so I’ll know you actually matter......

Can't tell is this is sarcasm or not. Good stuff! Always an excuse coming from the Schewey.

Just a jab at someone on here who isn’t a true die hard Marshall fan and likes to blame players for the losses and then tell the fans they don’t matter unless they pay a lot of money to the program ( season tickets, big green, vision plan, blah blah blah)

Don’t take it to heart

I thought the story was we were struggling on O-line because of injuries(again) and playing 3 freshmen.

Sounds like if this is the best lineup we got, we're just not very good up front.

......or maybe these RSFrosh are growing up before our eyes. They have protected the QB quite well. My observation: In the WKU game, it just seemed like we were pulling the guards & tackles differently than any other game. Anyone else notice that? More of that = good?

We've always pulled all positions.

And you just mentioned the biggest problem. They shouldn't have to grow up "before our eyes." They should be growing up behind the scenes and in spot duty and be ready to actually open a hole for a RB when they step onto the field as a starter.

But as usual, we had a starting caliber linemen leave before the season, and another get kicked off during. So now we're young at this position and didn't need to be due to Docs trademark attrition.

Colorado St is very good on offense but are just as bad on defense as their offense is good. It could be a good game but I'm worried about losing to their offense late because our offense is so pedestrian.
