If this isn't proof this was a complete political stunt to keep a level of peace within their nutty Dem voter base demanding "impeach"...priority 1 now for Dems is stop the bleeding in the polls.
Yep, indict someone then never give them their day in court. That's about as unconstitutional as it gets, you know, right to face your accusers, right to a speedy trial. I wouldn't be shocked if they never send them so they can stump on him being "under impeachment" during the election.
My guess is the Trump team will go back to the Supreme Court over this to either get it moved to the Senate or thrown out.

I'm not convinced it is settled law that the House must forward it to the Senate. It sounds like dirty pool, but that's not the question.

Let's say the House sat on it for a year, would SCOTUS force it to the Senate? I'm not sure either way. It would be an interesting argument on both sides.

Until they expunge the charges in the Senate(if she doesn't present them). she is being an idiot even to her own party. All she did was rally his base even more.
Regardless of how we argue the technicalities of "impeached", the House voted for impeachment.....and that has been blasted across a very large spectrum of media outlets. Going to be tough to put that Genie back in the bottle.
With Pelosi's move, Trump can't claim he's been exonerated by the Senate. Something he quickly wants. Moscow Mitch has been blabbing to Fox how he's not impartial and is working with the white house on this trial. Gotta believe they thought it was going to be a quick and painless acquittal. Pelosi threw a wrench in that play. Plus, this gives her time to expose Moscow Mitch for being more of a scumbag than the American public already believes he is.
We'll see if this works to the Dems benefit.
Nothing that the Democrats have done has worked so far. They are imploding and the impeachment has totally backfired on them. Nancy Pelosi scrambling because she doesn’t know what to do. If she proceeds to the Senate Democrats will only look even worse than the clowns They have already made themselves out to be. If she doesn’t she looks like she’s afraid to. The Democrats don’t know what to do right now they’re buying time. I haven’t laughed this much in a long time watching them trying to sell this to the American people which has not worked. What could even worse for them is she is quite possibly just gave the house in the upcoming election to the Republicans and guaranteed trump victory. I am a registered independent but I must say this could not have played any better into the hands of the Republicans. This is one of the worst political blunders I have ever seen and I’ve been around for a while.

My guess is something else will pop up - perhaps his finances will be released....or Bolton will come forward. That's the problem with liars and cheaters....at some point the lies and crimes are unveiled.
It is not, my friend. Because if he gets reelected there is going to be hell to pay on people. Just remember he knows all the dirt on all of them. How they are making money(those congressmen go in with nothing and get loaded with money). How many little girls and boys they are screwing. What their spouses are doing and how they were running guns to enemies of the USA and making money. So on and so on. Just remember there are people in high places who hate those mother****ers.
I'm sure they're not. Now, are they running their mouths to the press that it's a done deal? I haven't heard them. However, you'd think the guy running the thing would keep his trap shut about it already being decided OR how he was working with the defendant to structure the court.
