Nashville Shooting

It would cost a hell of a lot more than $4b to have an armed guard at every school.
You know this because you crunched the numbers?

Regardless, no matter how much it is, it's less than the $75 billion we've sent to Ukraine.

Here is the problem for the left. In the case of the Nashville shooter they are reproting the she/he/it obtained the guns legally. Well, the left would have to say that the person is mentally ill and should be denied the gun. They can't do that because they would have to say the this trans deal is a mental illness.

The easier out is to go after veterans and have a Jan 6 meeting again.
Oh they'll think of something stupid, and none of the liberal dominions will question their next marching orders.

Very basic math will tell you this. $4,000,000,000/115,000 (rough number of schools) = $34k

Also, I like how you switched to the "regardless" route when you realized your "supporting facts" are grossly inaccurate.

Do they? 2861 mass shootings since 2018. I’m counting… 4? by trans people. That’s a pretty big underrepresentation.

We all know the 2,861 number is liberal BS as it pertains to what we think about as crimes like this. A gangbanger going in a trap house and shooting 4 rivals is not the same as a crazed trans shooting 6 people in a school. There have been 15 school shootings with 4 or more victims back to, and including, Columbine in 1999.

Using these figures to apply the math posited in the post, it would cost about $6.96 billion to pay the salaries of one police officer per public school. <-- They are referencing a Facebook post.
So what is the cost? Let's say $125,000 per (even though we know the average police officer's salary is nowhere near that). $125,000 times 115,000 schools would be around $14-15 billion. That's still a drop in the bucket compared to some of the stupid shit we blow money on.

You have to calculate more than just their salary.

I did. that's part of the reason for the inflated number.
You might not be too far off on your $125k number when you take into account benefits and other expenses. One officer per school will not cut it, you will likely need at least 3 to allow 2 to be on site every day, and that is even stretching it thin. Will these officers be walking around heavy with firepower like the National Guard did in our airports after 9/11, the difference being they would actually be fully loaded? Will they be fully decked out in SWAT gear? They would be pretty well fvcked if they are just walking around the school with a standard revolver.

Statistically, more kids likely died from gunshots today than the day of the Nashville shooting, but here we are wanting to put multiple cops in every elementary school.

Lock up your goddamn guns. At the very least get trigger locks. That’ll cut down more on deaths than 20 cops per school.

How would other people locking up their guns have stopped what happened? Don't be obtuse.

You can’t really stop someone with a death wish from shooting people and also have guns. The random crazy being able to amplify their damage is a cost we bear to have guns.

More kids die from accidental shootings and suicides than school shootings. So you’d save more kids eliminating those by keeping guns out of their hands than magically stopping every school shooting.

More blacks are shot and killed by other blacks every week than kids are shot and killed every year from all sources.

The difference with school shootings is the parents are forced by law to give security of their children over to the state. It’s suppose to be safe.
