Wow, that is a sweet plate! If I lived in WV I'd have one. What is the cost for such a vanity plate ?
Here in Georgia, for say an Atlanta Braves plate it's $75.00 and has to be paid ANNUALLY, which makes no sense to me since you keep that same plate.
As it goes with our logo, it's my opinion it's time to DROP the black stripe through the middle of the M and just go with the helmet sticker Kelly green with black outline M. Michigan. Stanford, Tennessee, on and on only use the one letter. We've been around long enough everyone knows who wears the Kelly green M. The stripe looks a little bush league.

It is $45/year, which works out to $15 extra since a regular plate is $30. Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia also do MU Alumni plates (different designs). Ohio and Kentucky won't do out-of-state college plates, which is a shame. I know both Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida do allow out-of-state alumni, I never understood why MU never had them there, particularly NC.
Georgia has over 1000 Marshall alums, the requirement to get a college logo vanity plate is a minimum order of 50 plates, we could never get that many people on the same page at the same time to order. Who knows?
Every SEC team has them, about half the ACC teams have them.
For an extra 15.00 a year to get that vanity Marshall plate is a no brainier for the die hard fan.

These are not available from the DMV. These have to be acquired through the MU Alumni Association and it takes about 8-10 weeks. I went to the DMV about three weeks ago thinking I would walk out with the new plate and found out that wasn't the case.
That extra $75.00 is to help pay off the remainder of the BJ Upton contract...
Wonder what the minimum order is for SC? If there is one . . . Seems like SC has a lot of Herd alums, but no Herd plate here either. I thought about just getting a custom plate and doing WERMRSHL but alas, SC only allows 7 characters so I didn't pursue it.
You should contact the alumni association and have them fill out the application, they have Ohio State, Purdue, West Point and others. I cannot imagine there are too many issue MU Alumni plates in PA, I have #4 and one of my neighbours has #16.
