ODU in what, their 4th or 5th year in FBS versus MU in Doc's 7th season as Head Football Coach. Says a lot, to me, as to what direction (negative) at least one of the programs is going!!!!!
One team having a better than expected year, and the other is 2-6 with starters quitting the team and players fighting on the sidelines. My money is on ODU.
I have said it before. I know no one likes burning redshirts, but since this particular team/mainly offense doesn't seem to have it in them to get along and get it done on the field, might as well throw freshman to the wolves. I want to see heart, and our offense has none of that minus a few players. Again, we are already losing, I say teach some lessons that the jobs are always up for grabs, no matter what class you are or how long you have been starting.
Why would you waste a FULL season for 4 games in what you yourself call a wasted season?
Well Herdmeister perhaps to keep the players from leaving! Why not play them? If you think that it is going to hurt them to play four remaining games then don't play them but I agree with others. When your season is in the dumpster why wait? What does it matter at this point? Burn em all as the rest of the team seems to just be going through the motions.
Don't know, I guess I am sick of seeing half asses play by our offense. We know the talent is there, they don't put the work in imho. They shouldn't be rewarded with playing
Call me insane but I think we beat ODU, it'll give everyone just enough hope that a bowl game is still possible but that'll end after the MTSU game

Oddly for this late in the year, we have only one common opponent. UNCC, which ODU beat like a readheaded stepchild in Charlotte, and which manhandled us.
There are no wins remaining on this schedule.
I wouldn't say a 3 point win is manhandlng, we made a ton of mistakes and the play calling was terrible.
The Offensive line is probably the worst I have seen in a long time especially in pass blocking. Chase feels rushed now and it's because of the beating he has taken all year.
I know they are just kids, that's why I say it starts with Mirabol (spelling?), but that unit is at the core of our offensive problems minus Legg being hard headed and not altering the offense to suit what he has on the field. We do not have a scat back that exploits the spread or a full time bruiser like Rockhead that can run over a defense geared to defending the spread. You need one or both to run in the spread, but it sure helps when the Oline is doing its job. Been a along time since I seen our line this bad.
