NFL Scout has Grant Wells on his list of the “Next Zach Wilson” in 2021

I can see it. The kid has only played one year. Clearly they played him with training wheels on and he threw some interceptions when asked to do too much. But he clearly has potential and will definitely grow. I can't say how much but I can definitely see how someone might think he has that kind of potential. We just need to get him some better receivers!

Agree...we need an upgrade at the wide out positions!

Im ready for the day y'all don't get hard ons about one 4 star recruit. As we have seen time and time again, scouting ratings mean almost jack shit. A lot of the guys that pan out to be better players were not the highest recruits. Obviously there are the Randy Moss of the world, but there are also the Ahmad Bradshaws and Troy Browns. Simmer down

Litton was more talented, but Wells don't have that cray.
He may not be a hot head like Litton, but right now he's got different mental issues. Wells lost his confidence and he's in his own head now. If he can't get past the last 3 games and find himself again he won't last much longer.

He went from gunslinger to gun shy and seeing ghosts. Sometimes that's a hard thing to shake.

That's entirely false. Look at the first round NFL picks. Something like 70%+ of NFL first-rounders over the last 10 years were four or five star kids coming out of high school.

Sure, you can find plenty of examples of two-star kids who become all-conference, but there is a reason the teams at the top of the national recruiting rankings are almost always some of the best teams in the country and the teams at the bottom of the national rankings are always some of the worst teams in the country.
