I was just reading how tariffs are going to affect auto sales. For example, a $42k Volvo would be near $60k. Guess I’ll hang on to what I have.

That may not be completely accurate. The press is playing some funny games with the hype and numbers.
But, another option is to buy an America car or car made in America instead of that overpriced brand.
I bought an American GMC. Hard to tell where all the shit making up that pickup was made though. Probably a smorgasbord of shithole countries if I had to wager.

You’ll still have pieces that aren’t made in America. They may be assembled here, or part here… part across the pond, and then finalized here. My key fob for my Toyota was affected by the chips made in China, during COVID. Took 9 months to get my 2nd key.

Honda, Nissan and Toyotas are mostly made here now and run circles around GM and Ford products. Non diesel items anyway.
