No one working

I did too you deflecting waste of bandwidth. I told you what they pay and what they are looking for. Your pea size brain can fathom people hiring and paying more than 7.50 an hour.
Greed is a bigger sellout than he is a hypocrite. He sold out his country by dodging the draft. Then he sold out his religion to join a cult, and now he has sold out his wedding vowels so he can live the life of a cuck.

Your wife ever stop dating other men??

Not sure that this applies to lawnmowers, but it might..,

We have a close friend that does supply chain between Chinese factories and big retailers like Wal Mart. It’s a family run company his dad started 30 years ago and they’ve went from start up to gazillionares over the years. (Aside: I personally have a lot of issues with China to US goods but he shared this with me)...

He says shipping at ports is a nightmare. A big ocean container (a “can” as they called it on the wire) used to be about $4000 or so. He said they’re going for $20k now. He said watch out for big jumps in cost on your ecery day Wal mart goods.
Cost of raw materials is spiking. I’m good friends with owners of two building companies - it’s not just lumber they’re having a hard time obtaining. They’re not even putting appliance packages in new homes right now because of availability issues. Not that there’s an abundance of brand new inventory but if anyone is buying something built within the last six months, I would be a little leery. Sounds like they’re really having to stretch (use less material & be a little more generous on what they can get away with).

In the case of the big box retailers.......takes an enormous number of people to keep things stocked and operating.
This sure is the case with my Lowe’s. The place is a wreck. So much stock left in the floor that it is difficult to walk down many of the isles. During the cold snap we just had, many of their plants in the garden section died because no one covered them.
Either they don’t have enough workers, or the ones they have are not doing their jobs.

Since COVID is still around this summer, and our vacation to Hawaii is not likely happening, we decided to find more activities to do locally and figured investing in new bicycles for each family member would be a good idea.

Well, if you want one anytime before summer, you'll need to check websites everyday and immediately purchase the first thing that looks decent. I managed to luck into buying a TREK brand bicycle at REI (local TREK store had mostly electric bicycles worth far more than a bicycle should ever cost). My wife and daughter's bikes had to be ordered a couple weeks ago. They're not projected to arrive till July.

The dude at REI said there's a huge shipment for them that's held up either due to the shortage of containers and/or the issue with the ports.

Nope. This isn't even close to the facts.....Wayne County Whitey says Jim Bob's Sport's Shack has two bicycles out front at their downtown Lavalette location.

Perhaps the clerk is full of malarkey. I just got on the local Lowes website and you can have several of their riding lawn mowers delivered to your local store in 1-3 weeks and they have 3 in stock right now. Sounds like the box stores just aren't keeping them in stock.
Go ahead and order 1 and get back to us after you actually receive it.

I checked my local Home Depot, and only checked two models....total of 10 in stock. Maybe there is some malarkey here.
I've ordered a couple of smaller items from Home Depot and Lowes over the last few weeks for quick pick up. Upon arriving at the stores...item was "not in stock" as suggested online. Was told I could drive to another location if I wanted it immediately or wait for delivery.... First time I made the drive, second time I said "forget it".

Anyone actually ordering things online recently (not including Amazon or restaurants) could tell you the "expect delivery date" on orders have been changing more and more after you place the order. Target is notorious for selling you something for specific delivery date if not in stock, only to see it delayed for a week or longer. Other online retailers for clothing and certain specialty items are "sold out" quickly and taking longer to replenish.

Perhaps they ran out that day. I have not had this issue at all...and I am a frequent flyer at Home Depot.

As for the mowers, I know they are there. Hard to miss all the mowers setting out front lol. $2k for a Deere because someone doesn't want to walk behind a push mower...might as well just pay someone to cut the yard, it's probably cheaper. I like pushing the mower, it is good exercise.

There are supply chain issues across most every industry right now.

I checked stock for riding lawnmowers here. From 6 to 25 miles away at Home Depot stores. They have some stock, but looks like limited on everything.

Perhaps the Sunny Side of Louisville is the best place in the USA, because we have fvcking riding mowers available.
new bicycles
My local shop has some Trek's. At least they have a damn $5k one. I too was thinking about a bike and stopped in, drooled over that one, and decided it was cheaper to walk for exercise.

Looks like Louisville might be a place to get lawnmowers. And, FBI investigations. hahah
