We just got third in the 4 x 100 relay. Jamaica gets first and we got beat by skinny little Japanese guys.

The basketball team is barely beating Europeans and Australians. In damn basketball. We used to beat all these people with college players. Now our damn pros can barely win.

How in the **** do we lose a relay race to Japan? Those Japs had no muscles.

Losing to Jamaica I get. But Japan? In track?

Hell with it. I am going to bed. We can't win shi* anymore. We only beat Spain by 6. I mean Paul Gasol is their best player and we win by 6.

It's clear that 1) you don't follow or understand international basketball or the NBA and 2) you didn't watch or pay attention to today's game.

Well, has the NBA or Internationally basketball really changed that much in the last 2 years? We went 9-0 in the World Championship in 2014 with an average margin of 33 points per game. Closest game was 17 points and no LeBron there either.

Roster has changed about 75% since 2014 WC's. This Olympic team is relatively inexperienced and as always there is a self imposed lack of practice time.

Gasol was impressive. I found myself pulling for him as the game went on. Always nice to see someone pushing 40 schooling the youngins...

Well, I do know our college players used to win all the time and I know what the Dream Team did to those international players. They toyed with them.

Of course guys like Lebron and Curry have to rest and not do the Olympics because their vaginas hurt or something.

The original Dream teamers were some of the greatest of all time. Leadership on the court and a real pride about representing this country. They didn't play the game solely for money and believed in giving their best every game.

With that said the international player has vastly improved since those days but still...watching the inconsistent effort and intensity is not a huge surprise. When Curry is considered "Great", not much of a reason to watch the NBA overall.
