On one side of the row houses in Red Lion, Pa., there is Tanya Saylor, her terminally ill husband and her five children between the ages of 9 and 17.
On the other side of the wall, there is 25-year-old Amanda Marie Warfel, who Saylor accuses of having such loud sex she has taken to giving her kids earphones in order to sleep at night.
USA Today (via the York Daily Record) reports that when the sex noises, along with loud music, first became an issue about two years ago, Saylor said she would knock on the door and ask Warfel to quiet down. It didn't help, with the noises continuing long into the night.
A smoldering feud between the York County neighbors escalated from there, devolving into alleged threats, banging on walls, and eventually, criminal charges.
On March 21, Warfel was "loudly fornicating and banging around her bedroom to the degree that the victims' dresser and her own bed shook," according to court documents quoted by USA Today.
In April, Warfel pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and harassment charges for incidents that took place in February and March, USA Today reports, adding:
Those charges were reduced to non-traffic citations, and a charge of ethnic intimidation against Warfel was dropped.
Hopefully, things will now quiet down.
