His dad Darrell died sunday morning. I went and saw him Friday at his home and he was unresponsive. He was such a good guy. Phil's death was the beginning of the end. The dr said he tried holding it all in when Phil died. He tried to be strong for everyone. Dr said by holding it in could have triggered dementia. Such a sad ending. Phil and Darrell will have a great reunion.

He was a great friend to me. After my dads death in 88 we became alot closer. He was the coolest preacher I ever knew. His wife sharon is doing good as expected. Brian, Phil's brother is taking it very hard. Thank you for your post Greenduke. I believe you are a good christian man greenduke. Remember me too when you pray.
Knew coach Ratliff very well from his years play for the herd to coaching at spring valley then moving up the coaching ladder.... great man, very likable guy, good coach, and strong as on ox! We know he’s with the LORD now and smiling down like he always did..! I met his dad a few times during Phil’s time at spring valley very nice guy and you can tell he loved his son and family.. such a good family! My heart goes out to them!
