My hometown was devastated today with flooding. My parents house and many many others were flooded. Many a total loss. It's a poor town so this is not good. Just a devastating experience they are going through now.

Definitely will Herdon. The situation there is very serious, it's a sad day for many towns and counties in WV.

Prayers for the Lumberjacks :( There are many fine people in that neck of the woods. They will band together and help their neighbors :)

White Sulphur Springs and Greenbrier Co are equally hard hit. Very sad for those residents.

Bubba Watson shared video of the Greenbrier Golf Courses under water.

Prayers for all the affected areas. Down through the annals of time, flash flooding has probably been the No.1 culprit in the loss of lives and economic devastation throughout West Virginia. Never will forget the bewildered look upon the faces of the elderly when I was an aide to Congressman Rahall and worked in Williamson for three weeks during the Tug Valley flood of 1977. Heart wrenching.
