Speaking on attendance, I can only hope, but I doubt the Cam will ever get back to the way it was in Hucks Herd days.

You see, this type of mentality protects the realist's mindset: We should win the games against inferior opponents by a wide margin. While at the same time, we should be able to win most of the games that we are not favored to win, even if vs ranked nationally ranked, top shelf competition. It's a no-win situation for the Herd and a no-lose situation for the realist....very convenient, but not "realistic" in the least sense.....
Go Herd!!!!

Good finish, hard fought and got PC reeling the last few minutes. Still have to give the other squad credit for give us all we could handle most of the game. Congrats herd.

Anyone notice that Iran Bennett no where to be seen and Christian Thienamen was in street clothes.

I'm sure that the population in the tri-state was considerably larger in the mid 80's than it is today. Also far less basketball on TV then to watch.
A good example of that is the old WV Conference tournament that was always in Charleston. I remember in the 70's and 80's the civic center was sold out for the semi finals and finals every year.
Last year they could have played in virtually any HS gym in the area. That is a big reason that the MEC moved it to Wheeling this year. It did ok there but still not near the old WVC in Charleston days.

Agree. Those were great days but we're getting close.

In Huck's time, most people got their TV with antenna. You got 5 channels, one of those the taxwaste that was and remains PBS. In teams of sports, of the 3 networks, maybe 2 had some sports on the weekend daytime. Plus Monday night football and baseball. And the Reds might have a random game on TV every other week or so. And dshoe might produce 3 or 5 MU games for TV per year. That was it.

If you were a sports fan, you went to live sports. Marshall games, HS games, golden gloves, you went to live sports.

Today, you just bounce from game to game on your remote, and people b***h that our games are "only" on the internet.
