President Carter Entering Hospice Care

Hard to argue he’s not the best man who has been President.

This is probably morbid but I cant wait to see a state funeral. I enjoy watching funerals of dignitaries. First one I remember was Nixon in 94 and I’ve watched everyone of them since

You just want to watch Biden give the eulogy and talk about how he babysat Carter.

Believe it or not I've met a couple of retired Secret Service agents on separate occasions. Both said Jimmy Carter, and especially Rosalyn, were very distant, cold and unfriendly. They also said Reagan was the warmest and most genuine to any and all in the White House.

It was during Jimmy Carter's presidency that you began hearing talk that the presidency had grown too large for one man. I think he was a good man which may have also made him politically naive (which in human terms isn'tnecessarily a bad thing), thereby causing him to be cold and distant as a protective measure and Rosalynn to be protective of him.

His brother Billy was extremely likeable and enjoyed the spotlight much more than Jimmy. Jimmy did very effectively rehabilitate his image as a bad president into a good man. Living so long after gave him plenty of time to do that too. He was only 56 when he left office. And he did good works with Habitat and others as well as staying out of politics for the most part.

A young man that works for me and his wife visited his Sunday School class a few years ago and really enjoyed meeting him. He was very warm and gracious to them.

To me the most interesting aspect of his life was his time in a nuclear reactor and then having such a long life when so many in his family died young from cancer.

He was born the same year as both my parents. It was a different time that those people grew up in. The world will miss their experience and views.

Wonder if Biden will repeat the lie about Carter selling his peanut farm before taking office so many people seem to believe.

What makes that so hard to believe?

I'm just glad he lived long enough to experience the Biden presidency. He can now pass into eternity safely knowing he was not the worst president in the history of this nation. Just the second worst.
Wow, how original. Did you read the other five messages like that in this thread and think your exact same joke would be a great addition to this thread?

You're an idiot and liar.
You're an idio

The two worst presidents in history certainly not those two. They would be Herert Hoover and the criminal and all time lieing champion Donald Trump.

Funny you of all people would make that comment...

It's really not hard to believe coming from me instead of you but here goes...

Had you read on and somehow expanded your typical narrow-view you would have understood it was in reference to both of them working in the White House detail over 40 years ago, me meeting them years apart and both saying the same thing...

Explaining things to you really gets tiresome...

And again, how is that hard to believe? You met two guys who said the same thing about somebody they used to work with? Shocking!
You met two former Secret Service agents years apart? Shocking!

The Secret Service employs approximately 3,200 special agents

U.S. Census Bureau today projected the U.S. population will be 334,233,854 on Jan. 1, 2023.

Now we know you aren't good at grammar, statistics or basic math but try to follow along...

Meeting one current Secret Service Agent.
3,200 ÷ 334,233,854 = 0.0000095741.

Meeting 2 current Secret Service Agents not at the same time or place, significantly greater - you do the math.

Meeting one 40 years ago in the DC area who was married to a family friend, significantly less.

Meeting a second one 40 years later in Costa Rica, significantly greater.

Soooo, how many Secret Service agents from 40 years ago do you know?

I met at secret service agent at the 2013 Military Bowl and one in 2016. The one in 2016 is the brother in-law of the girl I was dating at the time. Congrats on meeting them, they are like a rare Pokemon card.

And did both work for the Secret Service 40+ years ago when Jimmy Carter was POTUS? Congrats on being a smarta$$, being one is like a rare Pokémon card...

I assume the girl came to her senses...

Nice attempt at parroting back the same thing I said to you. @Raoul Duke MU was right about you.

She must have...

No relevance or logic to your claim. It doesn't matter how many are employed in that role currently. You'd need to determine the overall number of living special agents, employed in that role or not. And that will leave you with a number much greater than 3200.

Soooo, how many Secret Service agents from 40 years ago do you know?
But that isn't what you said "believe it or not" about, liar! You said you met a couple of retired agents on separate occasions. You didn't specify that it was from the same time, from 40 years ago, under the same administration, etc.

There was nothing surprising or shocking about your claim. You're arguing not only illogically but also dishonestly.
