President Carter Entering Hospice Care

Another conservative idiot^^^

Under Carter, there were 38 times as many jobs created than the most recent 16 years of con presidents...combined.
First person I have ever heard trying to say Carter was a good President. Dems don't even do that. Good man, terrible President. Just not cut out for it.

OK, terrible president.

You no doubt hated it when he deregulated oil, trucking, airlines, railroads, and beer.

He also signed the most significant reform of government surveillance powers since World War II in the original FISA Act.

And called for the decriminalization of marijuana in 1979.

As the 39th president of the United States, Jimmy Carter struggled to respond to formidable challenges, including a major energy crisis as well as high inflation and unemployment. In the foreign affairs arena, he reopened U.S. relations with China and made efforts to broker peace in the historic Arab-Israeli conflict, but was damaged late in his term by a hostage crisis in Iran.
Carter’s diagnosis of the nation’s “crisis of confidence” did little to boost his sagging popularity, and in 1980 he was defeated in the general election by Ronald Reagan. Over the next decades, Carter built a distinguished career as a diplomat, humanitarian and author, pursuing conflict resolution in countries around the globe. He was awarded the Noble Peace Prize in 2002 "for his decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development."

Can you edit it down to three word sentences so greed might understand?

In other words: OPEC

Averaged 6 for first 4 years under St Ronnie
Averaged 9.7 under Carter

Averaged 6.4 under Carter
Averaged 8.7 first 4 years of St. Ronnie

^^^^Ain't what you remember is it. Morons.
just posting what the History Channel had down on their web-site. I have yet to hear one perrson of any political party tout Carter as beinga good president. I have heard good man, bad president. Good man. Never, ever have I heard one person claim he was a good President. People who voted for him nor life long Democrats. Not one, ever.

He lost what 45 states in the election? 45 to 5? As a sitting President? Something like that.

By all accounts he is a good man. A great family man and very charitable. But, not a good president at all.

While I'm posting factual statistics.

He on this forum just to be a dick. Let's be honest. Every other poster here contributes something.
You many times did you have to stop typing due to laughing when saying that to the board's most useless poster, 1988?

Enough joking he was the Republican president who caused the great depression. You all know that and if you dont you must not be reading any of DeSantis banned books.

It is greed by far.
The decline is big with Rifle. Jabbering incoherently as he defends the board clown and obsesses with a useless poster. A once proud message board warrior now down to clown level. Pathetic.

For as much as I admire Carter post-Presidency, his actual Presidency was a shit-show. If anyone tells you otherwise, it's a safe bet they're only doing it because so many people are comparing him to Biden (who is worse.)

Thank you for that. I wish I could be more proud of the compliment but Rox and others have beaten baldy down so badly that he's seen better days and is now backed into a corner with the Cuck - - lashing out incoherently in lengthy rambles filled with name calling. He's long past that message board prime that he is oh so proud of. It's kind of like beating Georgetown in BB this year.....

It's much more likely that people like you don't know what they're talking about, and even more likely they're idiots.

at least carter has some decency. mush is just a loud mouthed crooked person. made a living being a lifer and to boot running scams while in govt and out of govt
Yes, Carter was just stupid and bad at his job, like Greed. Mush is a crook and a pedo.

Since he was a graduate of the US Naval Academy, I wouldn’t call him stupid, but he certainly didn’t have the leadership skills to be a good President.

After years of calling a Wharton graduate who was good at his job stupid ...sure we can.

Carter was a good man, intelligent too, just an absolutely horrendous President. He'll be remembered fondly for what he accomplished after his Presidency, & rightfully so. But no one will be rattling off a long list of his achievements while in the Oval Office. Hell, even the Camp David Accords have come under fire by Democrats because they think it ultimately ended up hurting Palestinians.

Was Carter a terrible President, or was he President at a terrible time? I do not think anyone could have done great at that exact period. Better than Carter did, sure.

Even Reagan saw his approval ratings drop into the 30's during the early 80s recession in 1982.

1972-1982 was not a good time for anyone to be President. Vietnam hangover, the effects of the Watergate scandal, stagflation, the oil embargos, just a garbage time for America; the era of malaise, we call it.

Carter ran as an outsider, and he treated Congress, even his own party members, as an outsider would, with contempt. I will tell you this is usually not a good thing for getting shit done...although most of you praise your Orange Man for the having the same contempt for the fools on the Hill.

Those who were actually adults at the time could easily compare Carter to Nixon and Ford. Nixon, it's obvious what the issues were. Ford, really didn't do much of anything about anything (this was largely by design, as everyone including Congress were a little sick of Executive power after Nixon blew up his Presidency). Both Ford and Carter share having been good, decent men who were Presidents at a very shitty time, and neither were good enough leaders to overcome those challenges.

I would call Carter a below-average President, but not in the worst five.
