I don't want to see anyone go, but we could probably get away with having one Defensive Line Coach and not having separate Defensive End and Defensive Tackle coaches.
I think with the way Heater designs the defense, 2 Dline coaches is needed

Steve Spurrier
Thoughts?
Set the boundaries with Spurrier and tell him your not the show anymore, your the teacher.
Well, since you put it that way, I say go for it!
i'm not sure chase needs miracles.
again, why would a multimillionare with a lot of solid investments and fiscally stable for the rest of his life want to commit to work 60-80+ hours per week minimum, traveling significantly a large portion of the year, all for less than $100,000/year?
Spurrier - "Damn it Doc get'em stopped! I want to call some ball plays"LMAO.
Doc to Steve. "Just Coah the fvcking QB's Steve and shut the hell up."
Chad could work miracles with Chase...Earth Calling Chad...
Chad has said on several different occasions when asked about if he'd ever like to coach he said he would not seriously entertain it until his kids have graduated and then he would want to coach at the high school level where he can give young men the tools necessary to succeed in college and in life.
That being said Chad does do consulting work with QBs in the NFL like with the Jets and Geno and he is here a lot and Cato was able to pick his brain and watch film with Chad. Cato also said he was able to call Chad whenever he needed something.
Chad is not taking a full time postion. He has been adamant if being with his family over the next several years and being a college coach would be just like playing again if not worse because of recruiting.
Not happening.
My point with Leggs is that he can't possible doing both coaching up and game planning for the next week equally well.d
Herdit44 pointing to Byron whose long delivery is the reason why he couldn't last in the nfl is not making your point. I always thought Cato and chase have intangibles but Cato was scrappy and extended plays, which Cato had since day one and playing with his childhood friend and teammate . Again not seeing how legg is coaching him up. The knock on Doc , no pun intended, was he isn't an xo guy. So now other AC have to pick up more slack . Just my opinion Doc has to manage everything but I hope we can develope chase more because 170 yards isn't going to cut it .

Why is everything a battle with you?
The OP asked a legit question regarding a QB Coach. Most programs have them as they help correct mechanics to not only maximize a players output for college, but this also helps them with being more attractive for NFL scouts, potentially helping them get to the next level.
The part where the OP mentioned candidates for the position may just be trolling, I don't know, but the basis of the post is fine.
Has it ever occurred to anyone that Legg might just be the QB Coach?

Wouldn't have to. I'm sure Marshall would agree to let him work less, I'm sure he'd be willing to do it for free too. Hell, just come in and work with him during the off season. Couldn't hurt, and I doubt it'd take too much of Chad's time. I mean, damn, he's here constantly anyway for fundraising and at games.
Well herdit44 wrote "again, why would a multimillionare with a lot of solid investments and fiscally stable for the rest of his life want to commit to work 60-80+ hours per week minimum, traveling significantly a large portion of the year, all for less than $100,000/year?" Uh how about asking our basketball coach that same question!
