Last week I was down in South Georgia to see Marshall QB commit Garet Morrell and his teammates take on Colquitt County, one of the nation's top high school football programs. Morrell struggled at times, but also made a few big plays for his team.
Here's what I wrote about his performance:
"
Marshall quarterback commit Garet Morrell showed a nice ability to throw the ball deep down the field, including opening the game with an 80-yard touchdown pass to two-star wide receiver Tray Eafford. Unfortunately he struggled on some short and intermediate routes and looks like will need some time before he's ready to get on the field with the Herd once he arrives in Huntington."
