Not sure I understand your question? I'm tired forgive me if I'm missing something?

I think his issue is that the photo shows the game in progress, but the scoreboard reflects the final score of the overtime game that Marshall won with a "walk-off" touchdown.

My guess is that the person who made the panorama Photoshopped the final score onto the boards after the fact, and the photo itself was taken at some point near the end of the 4th quarter. My guess is that this was done to match the title of the photograph ("The Sun Sets on SMU") which implies you're looking at the end of the game.

It was the first Conference USA win. Bernie got kind of hot at the end of the game and ran in for the score. Wins were too scarce in those days.

Yeah that was my main thing was the score. I could not figure out how that was the score with :59 left in the game when that was the final score in OT. Also they never ran any plays from SMU side of the field at end of 4th.

Little disappointing it's photoshopped to match narrative desired.

I could see why you would think that way, it's kind of arty though, so I don't mind.

No offense to the 2005 team, but that was the single most boring, high schoolish game I have ever sat through at the Joan. Their were 25 combined possessions by the two teams, 18 ended in punts and it wasn't because it was a match up of two stellar defenses. That was two really bad offenses spurred on by horrible play calling. The highlight for Marshall in the first three quarters was two missed FGs, it was the only time we got close to scoring. That disaster is etched in my mind. If I had that panoramic I'd burn it.

I was at that game also. I agree with Banker, what a boring game. Bernie getting hot at the end was fun.

I do have the same pic hanging in my office. In those days my seats were on the visitor's side of the stadium. The sunset was amazing. I can remember how beautiful the sky was. That is why I like the pic.
