WVU has been to 3 bowls in the past 4 years (not 2)
WVU is 26-25 in that time (not 25-26)
WVU and OSU are 2-2 head-to-head (1 OSU win was in overtime)
I would certainly give OSU the edge for the past 4 years.

How WVU would have performed in the old Big 8 or Big 12 is pure speculation. I think that rankings in final polls is a pretty fair and relatively unbiased metric for comparing teams over the course of history. In that regard, WVU and OSU are pretty similar (with WVU having a slight edge).

Couple of things. My bad a typo you are right I meant to say 26-25, wow tearing it up are ya. #2 counting a bowl played on 01/12 in the 2012 season priceless. You still qualified for 2 bowls the past 4 seasons. #3 Saying the BE was equal to the Big 12 priceless as well, if they were equal why are you not tearing up the Big 12 now? Anyone with half a brain understands that the Big 12 is a way better football conference.Always has been always will be.Saying Rutgers, Temple and U.Conn are the same as Oklahoma, Texas and Nebraska is a great laugh. Put an asterisk by those bowls will ya.

#2: You are wrong. WVU has been to 13 bowls in the past 14 seasons. The only season WVU missed a bowl in that time was the 2013 season. (You are forgetting that WVU played in the Pinstripe Bowl in the 2012 season.)
#3: I never said the BE was equal to the Big 12. It wasn't even implied. This discussion is about how WVU compares with Oklahoma State. Please stay on topic and quit making things up.

first of all talk about staying on topic, you need to practice what you preach I was not discussing the entire history of wvu. I pointed out in response to your comparison to Ok State you have been to 2 bowls the past 4 seasons- ACCURATE. Yes you are saying that the BE is equal to the Big 12 because you use it as a comparison between the 2.Are you saying it is fair for me to compare our conference championship total from our time in the MAC to your lack in the Big 12? You also include in there the Southern Conference bowl appearances. So I guess the Southern Conference is also equal to the Big (8) or (12) as well. All you can really compare is the past 4 years of head to head and you have been found lacking. Finally, everything in the above post of mine is factual and accurate. The only one making anything up is my non rival rival who has invaded our board with fables and folklore.

For the last time, WVU has played in 3 bowls in the past 4 seasons (not 2):
2012: Pinstripe Bowl
2013: no bowl
2014: Liberty Bowl
2015: Cactus Bowl
The rest of the above quote is just you putting words in my mouth and not worth my time to respond.

Don't forget he counts the Southern Conference bowl appearances in that number as well! LOL
WVU played in 2 bowls as a member of the Southern Conference (1953 Sugar Bowl, 1964 Liberty Bowl). I'm pretty sure North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Clemson, South Carolina, et al. count the bowls they played while they were in the Southern Conference. (And ALL of those schools were in the Southern Conference when WVU went to the '53 Sugar Bowl; the ACC was formed the following year.) I also think that Oklahoma State counts their 3 bowls when they were a member of the Missouri Valley Conference with schools like Drake, Creighton, St. Louis, and Tulsa.

wvu played in the 1954 sugar bowl, which was for the 1953 season. the southern conference in 1953 consisted of furman, george washington, william & mary, richmond, vmi, virginia tech, washington & lee, citadel, and davidson.

I stand corrected. The point is, that Sugar Bowl still counts. Even though WVU was a member of the SoCo that year, they played Pitt, Penn State, NC State, and South Carolina (losing only to USC). WVU played (and beat) 4 SoCo members that season (Virginia Tech, George Washington, Wash & Lee, and VMI).

No way you play in a quarter of the major bowls you did if you played in the Big 12 or Big 8. I doubt you would have been bowl eligible a lot of those years, either. OSU is on an upswing and you are back to reality.
