His acceleration through those last defenders was like nothing I've ever seen.
Hey Overherd, did you ever see Randy's run against Army? Or his early first period TD pass reception, 80 yards, from Chad against Ole Miss in the Motor City Bowl?
Hey Olde - How gauche ! And I will also take exception to what you took from Overherds statement:
No doubt, Moss was the greatest pure athletic talent ever @ MU (with deference to "Gunner" Gatski),
but you obviously didn't read the words that were typed. Moss was a glider - once he got going no one was going to catch him. If you look @ the "tape", what Over is saying is that Reaves went from 1/4 speed to full speed very quickly - he had to to run past the defenders that had a little bit of an angle on him........

No one we've had is or ever will be as good as Moss. Very few will ever be as fast. The thing is, Moss didn't accelerate super quickly because he never really had to. His legs were so long that he was gone within a step or two. I still don't think we ever saw Moss run at full speed.
