to be fair, i remember a couple cases of guys over the years not having all the required class to transfer, having to take summer school and sit out a fall semester to meet those requirements.

The letters have come through for Juqua Daniels (ESPN 4 Star RB), Pro Wells (24/7 4 Star TE), and for Jaquan Yulee (ESPN Top 300 and 4 Star LB). Hopefully a few other big ones come through today. Side note: so far, no one else in C-USA has signed a 4 Star recruit.

*Disclaimer....Stars don't matter unless the players want to work hard and have the right attitude. But it looks good for advertising the program

Yes but they typically have one year of JUCO under their belt instead of the full two in that scenario. If they cant get qualified coming from a JUCO, no way they will make it in a University........

per Rivals...

Houston running away from the rest of the G5 (and several P5) with the #31 class. we are solid at #62 behind UAB #61 and Boise #56.

*these are overall rankings. our average recruit ranking puts us ahead of UAB

Tom Herman should be able to clean up shop the entire time he is at Houston. That win over FSU was gold for recruiting. UAB is ahead of us because of sheer numbers of recruits they are able to get because they have so many scholarships to give this year

they may have more spots, but their average player rating is 2.95 compared to our average of 2.30....

they have a 5-star recruit and 3 4-stars.... in some cases quantity inflates a class (see UAB over Marshall). Houston's class is fantastic all around......

One has to wonder if there is more to the recruits Houston is getting than just them winning the access bowl...........maybe hush hush B12 talks?

I know that, I was referring to his background story such as grades etc, everyone under the sun offered him.

For ranking purposes, Rivals only considers the top 20 players in each schools' signing class; quantity does not really inflate a school's ranking (except when comparing schools with less than 20 signees). I believe the average stars reflects the entire class, however. Last time I looked, UAB and Marshall had similar star averages.

Actually, Rivals only counts the Top 20 recruits to determine team rankings so sheer numbers have nothing to do with UAB's ranking.

and something like 40 of 45 UAB guys not HS players. Most will be gone when many of our are cominto their own
