Been saying this for years, but the followers of the woke/green religion won't listen because they've been indoctrinated to believe that they have greater influence and control than they actually do - just like climate change.

When I was a kid, a LOT of people would throw trash out their windows. There was a massive public push to curb that. While it's still an issue, over the decades it's improved dramatically.

I see recycling as the same thing. It's not perfect and there are plenty of issues but over time, we continue to make incremental gains. By the way, this video primarily relates to plastic and acknowledges the benefits of recycling aluminum aluminum and cardboard.

Plastic is a major issue but there has been such a major push, that we are beginning to see more and more biodegradable plastic. It's expensive but just like everything else, over time, we'll evolve and costs will come down as it becomes more of the norm.

I’m sure this is already done to some degree, but this would be a perfect area for a college or university to apply for funds to study how recycled materials can be repurposed. I’ve read a lot of stories about centers having mountains of recycled materials because no one knows what to do with them. Often they just go back to landfills.

So...you want to hitch your wagon to woke universities now and increase spending.

One good thing that colleges do is research. I would much rather have them doing that job than having mountains of paper, metal, and plastics piling up unused. If you can’t turn recycled material into useful products it defeats the purpose of collecting it.

So now the woke universities are competent and need more money. Got it.

Of all outlets, NPR convinced me recycling was largely a liberal feel-good exercise. Especially glass recycling. Do it if you want, you’re not really making a difference

Earth Day is a liberal feel-good exercise... There are emerging technologies being developed to utilize recycling better, more efficiently and profitably...

Remember all the trash left behind at Earth Day celebrations?

And this...
