12 is to many cut it down to 8

Nope, 12 is the number you cut to 8 will never have a chance with group of 5 team. Cutting to 8 teams will only encouraged multiple teams from the “strong” SEC and Big10 to send multiple teams. Just because it’s not panning out this year with competitive games, doesn’t mean it won’t in the future. (Teams like Indiana and SMU didn’t compete well but earned there spot) Look at the NCAA basketball tournament, we don’t have a Cinderella team every year in the final 4.
