If you’re one of the many people who have referred to Southern Miss as “SMU,” then you are completely clueless about college football and should stay out of all Huff discussions.

First, Southern Methodist is widely known and accepted as “SMU,” not Southern Miss. Second, Southern Miss’ name is University of Southern Mississippi, so calling them “SMU” doesn’t even make sense. It would be “USM,” which again, nobody uses. It’s already shortened to “Southern Miss.”

Many outsiders are reading this board over the last few days. Just like the fat sororities do when they put their lone semi-attractive pledge in the front of all of their marketing, you morons need to fall to the back of the line and not make us look dumber than we already do.
