If you didn’t know they were in Shy town & Houston, I don’t think you could tell. Didn’t seem to hamper the play-by-play or the commentary (I would normally have used the word “color”, but apparently that is now taboo, along with most other “normal” phraseology...😡)

The only thing tha I noticed is that Andre Ware was not able to see the coverages the defenses played and only noted if their was soft coverage by the CBs.

When the announce crew is not on site I notice they veer off topic even more than usual. I would think it’s hunan nature for that to happen if you’re not surrounded by the urgency of being on site.

Jason Benetti is great. Should have a sore throat. After the Herd game, he called the White Sox/Royals game on NBC Sports Chicago Saturday night, and is doing so again right now, Sunday afternoon. He partners with Steve Stone on baseball, they are great together.

Benetti also occasionally does college basketball with Bill Walton. Talk about a broadcast that goes off the rails.....

As for the Herd game, it was so bad, it basically turned into Jason interviewing Andre about his football career.

Another thought: I didn’t hear Andre talking about any blitz pkgs we or EKU were employing. Were we just not blitzing or is that another case where not being there limits your ability to see it before or as it’s happening?
