the man republicans turned to after their prior two speakers were forced to resign in disgrace,
who they called the most ethical and pure among all republicans in congress turned out to
be a "serial child molester". i guess there just aren't any ethical republicans. hell, as far as i
can tell there aren't very many straight republicans.

why are the corporate owned right wing biased mainstream media covering this up.
why are the corporate owned right wing biased conservative radio talk shows not talking about this family values
issue.

U.S. District Judge Thomas M. Durkin called Hastert a "serial child molester"

i would need another set of fingers and toes to count all the "family values" republican members
of congress who have been found out to be child molesters.

HOW ANYONE CAN VOTE FOR A CONSERVATIVE IS WAY BEYOND MY UNDERSTANDING. .

The southern strategy turned racist democrats into racist republicans. A political move for votes used by the nearly impeached Nixon. That doesn't erases the previous 100 years of republican progress on racial equality.

But it sure moved the Republican Party way to the right and toward outright bigotry, because the South is a hella big block of Congressmen, Senators, governors, and Electoral Votes.

just to clarify - since most on here are either too young or two ignorant to know - Nixon's southern strategy
was a strategy to play on southern racism brought to the fore by Johnson and the democratic party's
civil rights acts. which brought about voting rights (now being destroyed by republican pols) school
desegregation ( schools have now been re-segregated by right wing bible thumping conservative
republicans) the right to eat in a restaurant, sit in the lower level of a movie theater, drink from a water
fountain, sit anywhere on a bus, and use the bathroom.

George Wallace was the first to play on those emotions in a national election, their movement came to be
called dixicrats, meaning southern racists both dems & cons. Nixon an lee Atwater co-opted the
dixiecrats into what became the republican base.

that base was played by establishment republicans for forty years, using their racist base votes to
take wealth from that base and redistributed it to the top 1/10th of 1%, because the republican establishment believes in the economic principle that capital should flow to its most effect use, and they the republican blue bloods by birthright use money more effectively than those stupid ignorant racist southern bible thumpers who put them into power.

I'd like to see where Reps are re-segregating schools. Do you actually mean redistricting? Because that is a self inflicted wound. If dems were so interested in the education of minorities they wouldn't have shut down school choice.

I used to be pretty racist, and I got along fine with black folks.

Ok, but my point is I live in NC and I just don't see the racism you are talking about now. I really don't. I have also live in Georgia.

Just went on a trip with a bunch of people from Ohio. They are the most racist folks I have ever been around. LOL

I have been all over the country. It is no worse in the South than anywhere else. Good gawd you live in Indiana. I bet it is more racist than North Carolina. My sons' best friends are a hispanic and a black guy.

The South is an easy target because of the past. Hell, I walked in Atlanta down by the georgia dome and we(the three of us) were the only whites and there were no issues. I am talking right down there when i stuck out like a sore thumb.

New York, South Carolina, Texas, Indiana, Ohio, California, West Virginia.
