I told you the situation with Huff was toxic and he needed to go. Now look. I don't even have inside sources but with my experience and knowledge I could see it a mile away. Southern Miss did Marshall a favor.

Right, wrong , or indifferent it was toxic and I could see it as a complete outsider.

Just like my 312 pick, I told you this guy was going to cause us problems.

Putin will have everything he wants from ukraine in 30 days.

1000+ days later...

Playing for a conference championship is a problem?? Who knew? Only at Marshall.
We had a top sales rep that sold millions. He caused all kinds of problems. Finished #1 all the time. Everything that glitters is not gold.

Marshall coach Charles Huff on star DE Mike Green turning down NIL money to leave last offseason: "We don't have any here. Trust me, he's not getting paid to stay here."The #UVA transfer is tied for second in the nation with 16 sacks going into the Sun Belt title game.

Great guy to say that. Marshall was never going to make that guy happy.

IT'S TRUTH. I know it hurts your feelings but he wasn't lying. Why should that bother anyone? Green staying was as much a commitment to his relationship with Ralph and his other teammates as it was money.

You got what you wanted. Now you can go back to supporting the Herd in words only.
I never want(ed) Huff gone, I just said the relationship is Toxic between him and the school and he is toxic to the situation. Why would I not want Marshall to be successful? But, this is a guy, I don't think they could ever make happy. And, some of his comments are bizarre.

So a coach wanting more resources to help his chances at success in a program is toxic to you? Seriously, if this is the standard Marshall fans are putting forth now: "playing for championships is a problem" and wanting more NIL money to attract more talent is "toxic", it's over.

I swear to God, I thought the bitching by some about $10 baseball seats for season tickets was Busch league. This is a new low even by Marshall standards.

You keep posting this trying to claim you were correct, but in realit, you were incredibly wrong. If a head coach at the FBS level isn’t constantly pushing for more from donors and the AD, then he is failing at a major part of his job and failing the players, staff, and fans. It’s not toxic at all to always ask for more. That’s his job.

Weak leaders crumble under that. Strong leaders know how to navigate that and continue the success.

Last year, I left a company where I led teams of about 160 employees. Sales reps reported to a manager who reported to a manager who reported to a manager who reported to me. Our top sales reps were warning $300k-$400k annually, and most of the time, they were the biggest pains in the ass. They always wanted more of something - resources, assistance, money, improved processes, etc. Yet they were so successful because they always pushed for more.

A good leader doesn’t crumble under that and manages those personalities. Bad leaders result in those reps moving to inferior companies.

Huff wasn’t toxic. He was doing what we should.

But I get it - he’s black.

His skin color doesn't matter.

I told you it would end up nothing but trouble.

More resources? Dude's record wasn't real great until this season. He was likely on the way out. Accounts are he was offered contract extension(s). Turned it down. Offered it when he was not doing so great.

I feel he is one one of those guys that is not going to be happy at Marshall.
