What a crazy 7 months it has been for the safety position at Marshall.
The good news is Saturday the Herd will have some serious talent starting against VMI.
Nazeeh Johnson and most likely Derrek Pitts.
But, last February it was Malik Gant and Brandon Drayton with Nazeeh, Colvin, Cooke and King backing them up.
Fast forward to the spring. Status quo minus Gant who went to the NFL
Fast forward to August, Pitts and Quinten Jordan arrive. Colvin and Cooke leave.
Tons of talent.
Camp progresses, Drayton not partaking in team drills.
Kenard King starting with Nazeeh
A week later it is Johnson and Jordan with Pitts during on all cylinders.
Now, we are learning that King has left the program, Jordan is not on the two deep most likely not eligible yet or ever.
Expect Nazeeh and Pitts to start. Being backed up by freshman EJ Jackson and Micah Abraham both who had great camps
