HN has learned through a couple of sources that RS sophomore George Davis has left the team.
I would like to stress, however, that we have not been able to officially confirm the news - so right now it remains (what we think is) a very strong/credible rumor.
For those not familiar with Davis: The Fort Meyers (FL) native signed with Marshall in 2015 and sat out his first year in Huntington as a non qualifier. Last year Davis played in nine games and racked up eight total tackles. He returned a fumble 95 yards for a TD in the season opener against Morgan State.
Davis was switched from safety to WR this fall - which we all know is often a bad sign.
