Chase need to finish this game. Don't pull him, even in the 4th qtr. He will learn from this game. He will let this shitty performance serve as a reminder for the rest of his career and motivate him to get better.

IMO you never leave a quarterback in (should be leader) when he is disrespectful to his teammates and coaches.
Is my memory wrong, or did Birdsong engineer a TD drive in his appearance? I like Chase as a QB and think he is going to be a good, maybe very good one, but Birdsong deserved a little more playing time than he got this year.....Before anyone attacks, CL was the better of the two, but we also NEVER got to see Birdsong against some of the lesser competition on the schedule, he played against Purdue (win and a nice comeback drive) and played poorly - as did the entire offense - vs. Ohio, while injured....... what would he have done against the same schedule that CL played? Who knows (other than the many experts here who called it before the first down was played this season) but likely the same outcome as Chase had, but maybe a win vs. MTSU, perhaps, in a game we definitely should have won.
Oh well, the end result, Gunnar is gone, MB maybe gone and Chase is now the #1 with little chance barring injury of having that 5th year which might have been a real difference maker in his overall career. Just a big picture observation, injuries are injuries and not much we could have done differently!!
