Anyone following the hoopla around this?

I have no idea if the guy is a loon-bin or not, but it took the FBI/police ten days after he went public with the info to actually do something about it?

I've followed this in the past, but missed the recent news. Thanks for posting this. This case interests me because this girl was from Hamlin and I coached against her little league team years ago. The field in Hamlin is Samantha Burns Field now. It was an unusual case because the two low lifes that were convicted of this has sent authorities on wild goose chases in the past. They're on death row. I think they were convicted of murdering another woman down south (one if the Carolinas I think) as well. One of the guys was related to her. She was taken from the Huntington Mall if memory serves me.

The thing that strikes me about this case is these two scums are already on death row. Why not give up the location of the body? Let the family give her a proper burial and hopefully find closure. A few years back they gave a location in Wayne County that caused a stir and when the site as searched nothing was found. Hopefully they find her and this is finally put to rest.

Go to Jimmy Hysell's page on Facebook. His main picture is of him kayaking. He is the one who tried going to the police weeks ago. He is "on the run" because he claims people are after him for exposing what happened.

If you scroll down enough, you can find the beginning of his comments and rants. He was pleading with the police to search the property before he went public with it, according to him, but they wouldn't do anything.

I'll look. It sounds like more people were involved than the two that are in jail. Thanks.

Looks like another wild goose chase. I really feel for the family. This is like the 3rd or 4th time they've had to go through tips leading to dead ends.

My question is...if the two convicted of her murder are so willing to help (reportedly), why can't they pinpoint the body? Were they drugged up and don't remember? Did the body get disposed of by someone other than them? Are they just acting sincere and making a mockery of it from death row? This case makes no sense to me.

There was a link on reddit with someone who had written to the one that has been willing to help, he wrote back and basically drew a map. I wonder if they were strung out or if the police just missed her body. Or animals dug her up and made off with parts of her. I had a dog once bring home a hog leg bone...I have no damn idea where he got it.

I can understand a bone or two...but the whole body? I can't imagine animals carrying off the hole body.

And this Hysell guy...he was very confident that they'd find bodies. Was his wife just lying? I mean...this case is just strange.

I've seen dogs drag an entire deer carcass several times.

A deer carcass that was buried first? And how far from the site that they found it did they get? I can't imagine the carcass being dragged for more than a few hundred feet. Did the dog/s then devour every shred of the body including the bones?

I get your point, but I'm not sure I'm buying a whole body was drug off by animals and left without a trace. There were cadaver dogs brought in by the fbi. If that body was buried in that area you'd think there would be at least partial remains.

Truth is...I don't know much about this kind of thing. Maybe my logic is off. Who knows?
