Speaking of SW Louisiana, they changed their name to Louisiana-Layfayette a few years ago. I watched them beat UTSA in their bowl game yesterday to finish 10-1. Actually they simply go by Louisiana now. They're pretty good. They sure had a good basketball team when they eliminated The Herd in Las Cruces with Bo Lamar

Dwight Lamar was the highest paid player of them all on that team. They were coached by the Al Capone of basketball Beryl Shipley.

I remember talking to Mike D'Antoni after that game. As you may remember, Mike was a very good defensive player much like Danny. Mike said about the time he would assume the defensive position all he saw was shoestrings in his face. He said he never played against a guy the caught the ball and elevated and released as fast as Lamar

I take offense to the "likes of all these phys ed and teachers majors" statement. Yes, I had a General Math minor and my Masters Degree is in Computers, but my undergrad is proudly in Health & Physical Education. I started in college as a Math major because I was always good at it; I switched to PE because it's what I loved doing. Not every PE major is stuck there because they can't do anything else.

Taught math for three years before getting into the Health/PE/Driver's Ed Dept. Math was easy but I was so bored dealing with numbers all day long. Now I wear shorts to work most days, I don't have any SOL headaches, and I get paid the same amount as I would as a math teacher. I have never once regretted my decision to switch my major.
