I strongly believe any talk of ranking Conference USA is irrelevant. When those teams depart to the AAC , CUSA will cease to exist. They can only reach down for new members and I mean WAY down. That’s fine by me because they did it to themselves. I feel sorry for the teams left but some one has to lose. I really see no options for them Other than out of conference games with the Sun Belt but good luck with that.

IMO the rest of the leagues missed an opportunity to kill off CUSA all together... If the MWC would have taken La. Tech and UTEP then MTSU and WKU would have gone to the MAC. That would have left FIU to either go Indy or drop to FCS (where they probably should be).

Now you have this Frankenstein garbage league that is still operating under the guise of FBS football thanks to UTEP, LT, MTSU, WKU, FIU and Liberty while adding a bunch of nonsense like Sam Houston State, Jacksonville State and New Mexico State.
