Not at all. With Trump polling up 20 in Indiana, I voted for Johnson. Why? To help strengthen a third party here in Indiana. Johnson received almost 5% of the vote here, not bad after getting the Libertarian Party certified in 2014 (Indiana's ballot access rule is weird, you have to get 2% in the Secretary of State's office, the Libertarian in 2014 got over 3%).
I've done the same in WV when it has been obvious AF who was winning the governor's race, voting for the Libertarian or Mountain Parties.
You may consider my vote for Johnson a wasted vote. You would be wrong, for many reasons. I don't think Trump could have lost IN even if Christ himself came down from heaven and said to vote for Hillary. That's the green light to vote other interests. I believe the GOP in Indiana needs a libertarian influence. The GOP here is involved in all sorts of BS I consider opposite of true classicaly liberal ideals, from legislating the promotion of religion to over-regulation of alcohol sales (the liquor store lobby is very powerful and controls the GOP). I could post damn near a book on this. A strong "big L" Libertarian presence can help push my state GOP more towards "little L" libertarianism.
Anyway, I feel sorry for you folks who feel you absolutely had to choose between a competent yet corrupt bitch and an incompetent and corrupt asshole. Twenty point spread, I didn't have to.
