Shooting at Paris Satirical Newspaper Kills 12

PARIS-Armed men Wednesday stormed the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo, a French satirical magazine targeted in the past for its cartoons on Islam, leaving 12 people dead, according to the Paris prosecutor.
Arriving swiftly at the scene, French President François Hollande called the shooting a terror attack and described it as "an act of exceptional barbarity." Mr. Hollande said he had convened an emergency meeting of top ministers for Wednesday afternoon to discuss national security.
Police said the men opened fire inside the magazine's offices in eastern Paris using automatic AK-47 rifles before fleeing in a black car. At least one police officer was among the dead, according to the French president.

The picture is from PBS. The picture also blurs a "depiction of Mohammed" and doesn't blur a picture of a Jew. One is a follower and the other is the object of worship. That would be like blurring a disresepectful depiction of Jesus and not blurring a picture of a Christian. Do you see the difference?

The major media in the US (NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, Fox, etc) does not disrespect any religions. In fact, they show respect for all religions, which is what we all should do.

I am a Christian (but that's totally irrelevant). People should be allowed to practice Satanism and freely voice their opinion and beliefs (in the USA) as long as they are not physically harming others (such as human sacrifice, etc). This is not a theocratic nation, thank God. I won't even get into a debate about the primary resason the country was founded.

If you want to use the Bible as your guide, I don't think you'll find anywhere in the Bible where it says you should persecute others for their beliefs or religious affiliation. You will find where it says "you are to be the light of the world" and you are to "love thy neighbor as thyself".

If you want to use common sense as your guide, you know deep down you should respect others and their beliefs.
