‘Toughest kid’ Selby is Marshall’s new center of attention

HUNTINGTON — Skirmishes happen at preseason football camp, especially when the days drag into weeks and players gets sick of hitting each other.
On one recent day, Marshall center Mike Selby was at the, well, center of several mini-melees in the trenches.
That was not a surprise to those who follow the Thundering Herd. Selby is not necessarily a hothead, but this much is certain: He backs down from nobody.
The same could be said about the rest of Marshall’s offensive line, whose nasty disposition helped the offense gain nearly 15,000 total yards over the last two seasons. It is not advisable to cross seniors Clint Van Horn or Sebastian Johansson, for certain...
