HUNTINGTON — Several Marshall players owned up Monday to mistakes made in their 21-10 loss last weekend at Ohio.
There was a whole lot of owning up, because there was a bunch of mistakes.
“As an offense we had, I think, 26 mental errors,” said running back Devon Johnson. “That’s a big upset. We all took turns making errors. We ran, like, 63 plays so you do the math — that’s almost half.”
Not quite a half, but too close to accept. It has been a long time since a Marshall offense suffered such a game-long lapse in fundamentals.
