LAP wasn't going anywhere. Ford just invested tons of money into it, and the UAW contract clearly states it isn't going anywhere. Can I claim the union saved the plant?

Ford sells 300k Escapes a year, but only 20k MKC's. Keeping the MKC at LAP is about juggling shifts, period.

Fun fact: the Escape is the Ford Kuga in the rest of the world, and the Kuga is made in Spain, China, and Russia.

Here's another fun fact...the Ford Escape is overpriced. I mean, it has actually evolved into a really nice SUV, but they want too much for them based on size and, oh yeah, it's a Ford.

And it's not a SUV. It is a CUV. CUV's are hot now, and will be for the foreseeable future. I don't see small sedans ever making a comeback now that CUV mpg rivals that of sedans.
