We hear that ever year and every time we change a coach, or get a new QB, or start winning, the excuses just change. Our fans make demands. Then when those demands get met they move the "I'll wait and see" stage and then they never "see" what they wanted so they never come.

We have a 23k core fans that come out ever game. Most of those are tied to the the plane crash. Either directly or through family. Once that generation passes I doubt we'll have much of a fan base at all. It definitely isn't coming form current students because most of the time they look less than interested in being there.

I don't know how many times our fans will say "if this happens I will be back" or start donating again. Trust me I have been working with getting new Big Green members for 10+ years and it is always the same line no matter who the coach is or the score. With games all over TV people just stay home and watch. Don't have to worry about the food and restroom at home. And as for being a BG Members...there is always something else they say...but then complain about being in CUSA. Can't have it both ways. If we ever strive to be the best...our fans have to be the best and that means more BG donations.

Very true, but don't you think the pool of potential BG members is getting thinner as a result of -
1. The BG targeting certain donation levels and not pushing for new members who can only give 10-25 a month starting out?
2. The AD having some debatable fan policies such as the re-seating debacle, etc? Thus possiblY alienating some donors/members?
3. The general population of Huntington getting smaller.

Not being critical just throwing out some reasons that donor numbers/donations may be stagnant.

I'd like to know if the BG has a plan in place to attract new donors; and if so, what that plan is?
Gotta be more than a few golf tournaments and get togethers in the southern part of the state. jmo

The crowd got into Sweet Caroline when the band played it. Even my 14 year old grandson starting singing along.

If there is anything consistent on these boards going all the way back to when Herd Nation was its own non-rivals board (I've been posting here for 18 years...that's sad) it is the complaint about the PA and the band interrupting the We Are... chant.

Heck that was a problem when I went to a game in 1995.
