Ravens drastically cut stadium capacity in move that hints at what NFL attendance will look like in 2020

"The Ravens announced on Wednesday that the capacity at M&T Bank Stadium will be set to just 14,000, which is an 81.3% cut from the stadium's normal capacity of roughly 71,000."

I’d say IF we have to restrict seating at the Joan, we’ll be talking about season tix holders only and family of players. Jmho.

I agree. Plus if there are more season tix sold than the number that will be allowed in, then it will go on priority points

TBH we could cut our capacity and it not affect us at all. I am being serious too. Not trolling. What do we average? 18-22k over the last two seasons. It would seem that reductions will be applied to stadium capacity and not average attendance.

So. We could announce we are going to reduce capacity by 40%.

38,227 x .60 = 22,936
38,227 x .50 = 19,113
38,227 x .40 = 15,290

So in reality this shouldn't really impact us at all or at least not that bad. Except for the almost guaranteed sellouts of Boise and Pitt.

If there is football this fall, and they let fans in, I gotta wonder how many of our older fans will be rolling the dice. If you go out in public (in an area like Southern WV, where we're pretty much lockstep with the notion this is all a hoax perpetrated by George Soros to put 5G chips in our blood), the absence of people seems to indicate their behaviors do not match the disregard they claim on social media.

I don't think sports will be played this fall, but I have a feeling if they are, tickets won't be that hard to come by.

It would affect us significantly. No one is talking about only eliminating 40% of capacity... that wouldn’t space people nearly enough to meet guidelines. The most common number is 80% reduction (Ravens did 81%). 80 would put us at around 7,600 capacity.
