Yeah, one hell of a message they are sending. I don't know if that article discusses it, but their action is only done because they are about to have their supply of lethal meds expire.

Help me understand this:
For the most part, the only countries that practice capital punishment are all in the middle east and east africa (with the exception of one in south america, one in central america, and China - a huge human rights violator). The overwhelming number of countries that still practice it are predominately Islamic based nations. Why, based on the words and actions of republicans towards these countries, would you want to be one of the few countries in the world that shares this barbaric practice that only Muslim dominated countries take part in?

We aren't in good company by allowing this, and over time, that will be exposed.

Same reason we allow abortion.

Why shouldn't abortion be allowed?
Personally,I find it to be on the barbaric side and immoral as the unborn are not protected and it has become a method of birth control in some instances. It is somewhat of a genocidal practice particular in certain segments of the population. I don't see a valid reason to support it. That is my opinion.

While I respect your opinion and I do agree abortion should not be used as a means of birth control for every skank that comes along, I do feel they're times when the right to choose is necessary.
1. Death of the mother, especially if the child is determined to be still born.
2. Rape
3. Incestural rape
These are just 3 examples. I also feel the government does not warrant the right to instruct someone what to do with their body.

If it were just their body (tattoos, piercings, etc), I would agree with you.

So you'd be ok with your daughter carrying the fetus of her rapist? You'd be ok with both your wife and still born child dying with no choice given to you to save one as the father?

I did not say that, nor did I imply it. Sheesh, you are acting like a freaking Liberal with how quickly you jumped at me and began throwing out emotional charged statements.

Then explain yourself you're acting like a right wing nut job who looks for any reason to say ABORTION BAD!

How am I acting like a right wing nut job? I thought I was pretty clear in how I addressed your statement regarding the governments involvement in what one does with their own body.

So according to your opinion you have the right to tattoo and pierce your body but you don't have the right to choose past that?

When it comes to your own body, you can choose what to do with it as long as you are not adversely affecting someone else.

What other reasons are you ok with? Do you think the father should have a say in making abortion determination?

Much less than 1% of all abortions are incest or rape; even less than that threaten the life of the mother. That argument is a joke and is mainly used to help justify the murder of babies at any time.

No one person, acting for herself or hisself, should ever be gifted the right to take human life unless directed by the state or governing authority in a wartime or consequence situation

Well it is obvious what you are doing, I will let you run with it.

Really

But 1% is is still 1% and for those people its still their choice.

So murder is ok as long as the government sponsors it but it's not ok even though the government says it is? So you believe in capital punishment, but not abortions?

I didn't make a suggestion did I? His argument was only the government had the right to commit murder

I find it hypocritical to suggest the government has the right to commit executions in which 1 in 25 of those executed or about to be executed have been exonerated due to found evidence later. And in the same breath tell a father or a mother the government does not allow you the right to have an abortion in the case of life or death of the mother.

your argument was silly....comparing death penalty cases to aborting innocent children. now, fine you think it's wrong to execute violent criminals and think it's correct to kill babys.....but don't lump them together to attempt to make a point

No I said I'm pro choice based on a few criterias. I also said abortions should in no way be used as birth control. I said rape, incesrural rape, and when it's a life or death situation regarding the mother. But if the right wants to focus on "it's still murder" in these few cases how do you overlook the few (144) to be exact in which innocent people in death row have been exonerated?

This is a pointless argument that will never be resolved, but if you're ok with killing an innocent human before they're born but opposed to killing that same human after they have committed a horrendous crime, then you have serious issues.

I'm not condoning the killing of either, I'm saying the choice should not be removed from the mother or father in certain cases. Not sure why you can't see that, I've made that same point numerous times over. As for the death penalty, I'm not totally against it, but it's been proven they're have been numerous cases in which "innocent" people have been murdered by the government.

Sometimes you swing, and hit a home run; other times, you swing and miss. Even Nolan Ryan couldn't strike them all out. My only gripe with the death penalty is that it takes too long to kill them. Marshall Dillon used to take them straight from the Dodge City courthouse to the hangman's noose.
