Telepathic child?

Someone told me along time ago that we are taught how to learn, how to think and how to react from the time you are born... then asking what if really intelligent children are born with that knowledge and we are taking that away from them? I always thought about that when I would see real smart kids and wonder if we do more to hinder them.
Autism is such a strange thing...it as almost as if there are locks on their minds and that certain triggers or keys unlock this beautiful thing for the world.
I know it has been around forever, but it does seem odd that their are more and more children born with it(I know it is a brad spectrum). Makes you wonder if we are maybe transforming or evolving again.
