That North Texas punt return just got even better...

NCAA is looking to ban it in the future, knew that was coming as well

Marine, do you have a link to any info on that? I said the same thing as soon as it happened and by buddy told me i was full of shit and that it would never happen. I’d love to rub his face in it if you can find a link.

We can fake handoffs, passes, pass coverages, blitzes, pass routes, punts, and many other things, but a fake fair catch is not acceptable? Face it, football is a game of deception. Don't think a rule to ban it is needed. Coaches will make sure of that.

Maybe if every player would take a knee and raise a fist showing there support of banning fake fair catches, then the NCAA would have to do something.....

The NCAA continues to take the "Fun" out of "Football". Supposedly ALL in the name of "player safety". Another decade or so, they'll all be playing Touch or Flag football!

and the NCAA denying it

If you ever read Pullman you would know that Marine is a sucker for fake news.

Unlike 88 who denies anything and everything because he has the mental capacity of a 6 year old there were initial talks about the rule change. I’ve posted just one article here saying as such. Just because the NCAA is denying something right now doesn’t mean it’s not going to in the future. There were in fact talks of doing so.

Here is another article with an excerpt:

“It is unclear exactly how the NCAA Football Rules Committee might prevent similar plays from happening in the future, but allowing referees to blow the play dead if a return man doesn't run or make a football move immediately after catching a punt is a logical possibility.”

I’ll save all this so when it happens I’ll repost it to remind 88 of his stupidity as I typically do on Pullman
