Now 1-6 in bowl games after the thumping Memphis is getting from Auburn. WKU is better than any team int that conference but you would never know that courtesy of the blowhards at ESPN. I am so much looking for a beat down by FSU over Houston. How fitting the only win for that conference in a bowl game is Navy, I wonder if the commish still thinks they leagues teams in the top 25 are not rated high enough?

If the AAC wasn't the best G5 conference this year, who was?

Nobody, damn sure not the AAC....

When did this best P5 and best G5 shit start. All the conferences have someone respectable 1-3/4. Every team past 4/5 in each conference is practically the same. Conference elitism is arbitrary.

Need some bowl match-up between some of the G-5 champs & runner-ups.

This is why We, in particular, should never say the early bowls don't matter. That is where most G5 schools play each other. At the same time, ESPN could help themselves by placing more G5/P4 matchups in bowl season.

I think the AAC was the deepest and had the best regular season but they sure as hell have shit the bed in their bowl games - which to me negates some of that.

I think WKU could play with and beat anyone in the AAC.

WKU runs through the AAC. They're waaaaay better than Houston this year.

I say the aac was solid and had a few good wins but espn gave them way too much credit. I mean the 1-6 and soon to be 1-7 bowl record shows me that they are not better than we are.And for those who say we would have done no better I say all we can go on is performance on the field. 3-2 is better than 1-7.

72 wins and 79 losses is the year end total for Houston's opponents before the game tomorrow. Bowl record of those teams 1-5 and still waiting on Louisville game. This is the same team that lost to UCONN and I don't want to hear about injuries, hell Marshall was so beat up this year, I think I started a game or two.

For the record I think WKU would have walked through that conference this year.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the teams the AAC has played in their bowl games? But yeah the AAC was terrible this year and their bowl games are terrible and their bowl payouts are terrible compared to the mighty Conference USA.

AAC was 0-2 to CUSA

The AAC lost to the MAC (Toledo), CUSA (WKU, Marshall), MWC (San Diego State), ACC (Virginia Tech) and the SEC (Auburn)

So only two losses came to teams outside the G5 and Auburn was a 6-6 team who amassed two SEC wins. Was took to overtime by FCS Jacksonville State and allowed a 4-8 Idaho team to score 34 points on them.

Their performance in bowls has nothing to do with who they played. If they want to not only claim they are the best G5 conference but call themselves a P6 league and the rest of us G4's then they should have had no problem beating teams from the MAC, CUSA, MWC and very average SEC and ACC teams.

Looks like the Cougars are outplaying and out coaching FSU.
Commentators saying how UH is playing aggressive and not playing to lose. I like that mentality. Legg take note.

It's pretty simple, if you don't want things like this to happen then don't make such definitive statements and then get defensive and say you're entitled to your own opinion.

It's funny how the internet works that way.

You guys are trying too hard to justify your school pride by putting way to much emphasis on meaningless bowl games. The AAC was clearly the best G5 conference this year based on the regular season. I don't think the AAC is good enough to claim to be a power conference yet. Can they continue to build on this season's success? That's the real question.

We'll agree to disagree.

Today's result suggest you may be wrong. If you can point to a win WKU had this year that compares to Houston's win over FSU or if you can compare the body of work over the season I'll listen.

Thanks in advance.

WKU stomped the Notre Dame of G5's in Marshall. Thanks.

FSU did play without their starting QB and for most of the first half basically played a walk on at QB, sorry that makes a big difference. Without the starting QB FSU is not top 20 team let alone top 10.
