My birthday is logged in my personal details on this forum. The moderator(s) can tell you I was born in 1954, I know this because at least one of them changed those details in the past. There was no draft for people born in 1954. Alphasig is an idiot and chronic liar.

The draft lottery continued until 1975 (for the year 1976), however the lotteries issued for 72-76 were not used to induct anyone; some from those years were required to take a military physical anyway, which might have been enough to send you running to Canada

The Draft was used for many of the American soldiers in the Vietnam War; it was in effect 1940 - 1973. Anybody born in 1955 or earlier would have been eligible for the Draft.
In 1972 there was a draft, but nobody was called to duty from that draft selection.
On February 2, 1972, a drawing was held to determine draft priority numbers for men born in 1953, but in early 1973 it was announced by Secretary of Defense Melvin Laird that no further draft orders would be issued. In March 1973, 1974, and 1975, the Selective Service assigned draft priority numbers for all men born in 1954, 1955, and 1956, in case the draft was extended, but it never was.
I am assuming you did your civic duty and as required by law(at the age of 18) and on the integrity and honor of American men past, present, and future that you registered for the Selective Service of your Country.

Having to register for the Selective Service is entirely different than being drafted. E.T. correctly claimed there was no draft in that year.
