A month ago, Biden was at 37% approval which was 5 points lower than Trump at this point in their Presidencies. In the month since, Biden saw a noticeable uptick in his approval numbers which have since dropped back to a 37%. At this point in their Presidencies, Trump is ahead by 2.5 points. For July 2020, Trump never dropped below 39% & his numbers pretty much stayed in the low 40's right up near the end. Even then they bottomed out at 38%.
Biden very well could drop down to 36% or lower. I didn't think Biden was gonna win another term before the debate exposed the world's most openly known secret about Joe's cognitive decline. If he quits & Kamala gets the nod, something tells me she's not gonnna make a pick that makes voters feel good about electing her (someone who will 100% overshadow her.)
