This is crazy - whats up with no one being interested in this kid.

Geez, You'd think NMSU or UNM would at least take a chance on him
Exactly. You've got 2 FBS schools in the state and neither one of them has a spot for him? That's crazy. I do wonder how well he actually did at the football camps. Usually if you are good someone is going to give you an offer.

There was a QB who couldn't get a sniff from Div. I-A up in Pittsburgh (Ben DiNucci) that was a monster AAAA player in PA. He had kind of given up and early committed to UPenn.

The new Pitt staff took one look, had him in for a visit, and offered him on the spot.

His feet are crazy good and he has really good pocket presence (feels pressure, finds throwing lanes, eyes downfield). His delivery is a little awkward but his release is quick and is accurate (67%). Seems pretty fast and strong too. Good coaches normally look at all tape and not just the highlights but his highlight is every bit as good as Littons...probably better IMO

coaches are wrong, a lot in recruiting, but rarely are 120 coaches all wrong on the same player.

it's usually a combo of missing and also a numbers game. Plenty of kids were missed by D1 completely and went on to pro careers....a number of them played at Marshall. Players are also missed by giving them scholly's....meaning they really were not D1 players (Eddie Sullivan, etc etc).

MU's numbers are tight but perhaps he would agree to walk on and get a schollly next year. Of course he could probably do that at many schools

Chad Pennington with 0 D1-A offers disagrees.

so you've named 1 quarterback in the last 20 years of recruiting, thanks for proving my point.

Hence, "rarely."
