I was trying to figure out if I understood her correctly or not. She said that a business cannot walk into a bank and get an account. That’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. Every bank in the country fights for business accounts. I make my entire living by helping small/moderate sized businesses. I got an account just this morning for a prospect that we recently won.
Just last year I, myself, established almost 50 bank accounts for businesses. I also did over $8 million in lending to small businesses. Just me...not my team… not the facility I work in… not anybody else at my bank who does a similar job…just me.
If it wasn’t Maxine Waters, I would find it very hard to believe that she did not even know that banks don’t do student lending anymore. But, well, you know…
