That's a rather myopic view. In my estimation, the Trump backers/voters (which, keep in mind, appears to be a little over 50% of the population) are made up of 2 distinct groups.
The first, which probably makes up around 40-45% of the overall Trump backers/voters, are the diehard Trumpers. These are people that think Donald Trump is the one man that can and will stand up for their core values. Many (most?) of this group do have some cult of personality tendencies. These also tend to be the most vocal supporters.
Where you're mistaken is in your belief that this makes up the majority, or even all, Trump backers/voters.
There is an even larger group of Trump backers/voters that are simply fed up with taxes, bloated government, and a uni-party that cares nothing about the majority of this country and its values and beliefs. They also long for a return to common sense. This group doesn't necessarily "like" Trump, but they do like his policies and the way he governs. They also see Trump as a necessary evil to break the current system. I'd say the majority of PS - with a few exceptions - fall in this category.
And make no mistake, both groups love the fact that he consistently pisses off career politicians, the media, hollyweird, and the radical lefties. Everyone enjoys a good troll job.
My vision is just fine. We are discussing the posters on this forum. As best as possible, try scrolling through this forum without bias and objectively look at the posts by the bulk of the Trump supporters on here. Tell me they don't fall into your first group.

Technology isn't everywhere. I can't stream worth a damn on a lot of my drives (this limitation also makes updated radar data a problem, which can get hairy to say the least). And the "free" radio here is largely horrible pop country that plays the SAME SONGS EVERY HOUR or hell-fire and brimstone. Oh, and there is one Mexican station, I can't understand a word they say. I need to stop being a tightwad and re-up my SiriusXM.
I'd be happy as a pig in shit if our local public radio had an all-music station. Louisville, as you likely know, has three public radio stations. News, classical, and "regular" music as you might say.
